Mzuzu SOS Social Centre

The SOS Social Centre, Mzuzu opened in 2004 to support orphaned and vulnerable children and their families in six local communities. 1000 beneficiaries have been identified - those most at risk from poor food, lack of access to education, HIV/AIDS related illness and poor housing. The SOS Social Centre works with the local communities who have set up Village Development Committees to oversee the work in each village. In addition the SOS Social Centre works with other NGOs to avoid duplication.
