Maseru SOS Medical Centre
The SOS Medical Centre, Maseru, has about 1000 patients - children as well as adults - every month from six villages near to Maseru. Numbers are increasing as the national hospital in Maseru is for emergencies and referrals only. The most common disease for treatment is TB, the result of poor diet, which often leads to HIV/AIDS related illnesses. Nurses are trained to provide counselling in prevention and voluntary testing.
