Nairobi SOS Social Centre

The SOS Social Centre, Nairobi, is part of an integrated Family Care Centre that helps and supports orphaned and vulnerable children and their families in the local community. It focusses on Voluntary Counselling and Testing for HIV/AIDS and support for Families and Young People. The other major part of the Family Care Centre is the SOS Medical Centre. The SOS Social Centre began its work in March 2004 and very soon became an important resource for the local community. Its primary focus has been on HIV/AIDS - advice, voluntary testing, education and prevention programmes. In addition the SOS Social Centre helps orphaned and vulnerable children and their families - food, education, clothing.
