Nairobi SOS Medical Centre

The SOS Medical Centre, Nairobi, is part of an integrated Family Care Centre that helps and supports orphaned and vulnerable children and their families in the local community. The other parts include Voluntary Counselling and Testing (for HIV/AIDS), Family Support and Youth Centre. The SOS Medical Centre started work in August 2003 and in its first year was seeing over 4,500 patients from the local community. In addition to general medical advice and support, the SOS Medical Centre is the major HIV/AIDS clinic for the local community providing free testing, free consultation and free specialised treatment, including Anti-Retroviral Drugs.
