Abobo-Gare SOS Social Centre

The SOS Social Centre in Abobo-Gare started work in 2004 supporting orphaned and abandoned children and their families in the local community. In its first year there were over 1200 patients from the local community. There is now a permanent general practitioner employed by the centre. As well as providing general medical help, the SOS Social Centre works to prevent the abandonment of children by supporting orphan and vulnerable children, especially families affected by HIV/AIDS.
