Muyinga SOS Social Centre

The SOS Social Centre, Muyinga started its work in 2004 to help prevent child abandonment and to strengthen the family. Orphaned and vulnerable children and their families in the local community are given food, clothing and help with their education. The SOS Social Centre supports the families with voluntary HIV/AIDS detection, education on the prevention of HIV/AIDS. In addition income-generating microprojects are developed to help the community to become self-sufficient. The SOS Social Centre also works with the World Food Programme to distribute food to needy families in the local community.
