Oruro SOS Social Centre

The SOS Social Centre, Oruro works to support orphaned and vulnerable children and their families in the local community. It has established a programme "Don't Jail My Childhood" especially for children whose parents are in jail. In addition a project to improve the nutrition of children found that some mothers did not know about some vegetables or how to cook them. The SOS Social Centre works with local Family Committees, many of which have enabled women to take responsibilities previously denied them.
