El Alto SOS Social Centre

The SOS Social Centre, El Alto works with local Family Committees to support and help orphaned and abandoned children and their families. Children are helped with their education. Women are given interest free loans to help them develop income-generating projects which leads to their greater independence. The SOS Social Centre works with the city authorities in El Alto to develop "Community Homes" to reduce child abandonment and to help develop the community.
